Elco buys Fedders
ELCO, the Israeli fountain-head party of French air conditioning maker Airwell, is to buy the troubled Fedders North America residential hvac concern for a reported $13.25m.
The win includes three Fedders' brands, including inventory: Fedders, Air Temp, and Emerson Inactive Kool. Airwell's Chinese subsidiary, Electra Air Conditioning (Shenzhen) Co Ltd will also buy Fedders' Chinese bustle for $3.6m, it is reported.
Fedders North America, Inc. and sixteen subsidiaries, including its foster-parent South African private limited company, the Fedders Corporation filed petitions under Payment 11 of the US Breakdown Lex non scripta 'common law in Majestic last year.
The issue will be conducted within Airwell-Fedders North America Inc., under Airwell Air Conditioning BV and its pater associates Elco Holdings Ltd.
One of the largest and foremost known US air conditioning manufacturers, Fedders is over a century old, and, in its yet, has itself acquired a handful of acr companies including Airtemp and Climatrol.
