I have been using the Filtrete Allowance Air Conditioner filters for three years and these are great. I cut the filters to fit with the inner AC filter-screen. Video down and that is it. The amount of dust, dirt and pollution it collects so that it is not re-circulated inside is amazing. I had always suspected that there was dust and dirtying circulating, but I had no idea. I could actually feel a difference. Now, I change them out every summer although the instructions say every two months. This is a must have so I size up up on them to save on shipping. I think the Filtera web-site is slightly cheaper if you buy in bulk and it has a $1 shipping promiotion on orders. Warmly encourage you to buy once you see how much dirt it collects and how much cleaner your air-conditioned air is after a summer.

I knew it was a ungovernable but
I knew the blind filter on my window unit was not adequate filteration for dust, etc so I decided to give Filtrete Cell Filter a try. It works great! I've noticed a difference in the dust in the house. (No central air.) It has been three weeks and the eliminate looks pretty gross so I guess I'll be changing it fairly frequent. Also, I was able to cut one run to fit two units: 5K BTU + 12K BTU.

My people lives in a 1920s bungalow without central air and heat. My son and I have been having atrocious allergies, so I ordered these filters. They were weak to install, and I was able to use two packages to filter three window units, as one of them is small. The first thing I noticed is that the back window segment, which normally smells musty when it is turned on, had no smell whatsoever. We turned on the window units at evening, on fan, to filter the air. The next morning, everyone's allergies were gone. I cannot recommend this product highly enough for people who don't have prime air. These inexpensive little filters are vastly superior to the freestanding HEPA air filter we have, that is for reliable!

My mom put an intact bottle of Drano in the kitchen sink yesterday and it didn't get the sink-hole unclogged. So the Drano sat there overnight for a total of about 24 hours until the plumber could run across today. First shift the air filter on your unit. I wouldn't spray much else into the air for a day or so.
Also run plenty of water thru all your drains. Fill up the tub and sinks. After they are all full publicity the water so a big gush of water really cleans the drains best.

Looking for concrete slabs used for under air conditioner or water heaters-where to find?

On a diynetwork show, they bought fair and square slabs of concrete which are normally used under air conditioner units to use to square the counter for an outdoor bar. They said that you can buy these slabs and that they cost about $25. I rationality these would be great for another project, but I have searched everywhere(Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace and
At $25.00 each, it may pay you to construct your own, even if you have to make some forms and use some elbow grease to make them.
Would you mind stating what you scheme to use them for? Just curious.
