I have an american yardstick Allegiance 10 and need to change the filter. first what kind of filter do I need and stand-in how do I change it? the manual says call your local dealer.

The filter is either sited in your furnace OR on the return air side.
Locate it and buy another.
Allegiance air conditioners do not have seperate filters.

We are philosophical of replacing our current air systems with American Standard, and were quoted an air filter system, as well.
How necessary is it to get this done all things each one costs $1000+?
