PACKA50 Discuss
I believe the KA50 does a great job at what its designed to do. Since I live in Arizona, it is very dry here. I end up using it all year round. In the summer its occupied to cool the house down and the winter to add humidity to the air since its on the extreme side of dry. When the manufacture states 350 sq ft, they hostile it. Since it does hold a lot of water it can be a pain to fill so I use a hose from my laundry sink. If you don't have one you can use a fish ring false siphon in reverse direction. There is a meter that tells you how much water is in the unit (Min - Max). It's lately a float connected to a piece of plastic pushing the meter up. FYI if the unit is empty or very low, the float can look out for to get stuck and end up overfilling the unit because it will still say Min when its full. A simple tap on the machine looses the float and you are good to go. Something to keep in sense but wouldn't deter me from buying. The unit has 5 casters on it and move with...

Believe carefully about what you're going to use this for
I compared air conditioners vs air coolers for natural life before finally deciding upon the KuulAire PACKA50. Based on the features, cost and reviews, the KuulAire PACKA50 seemed to be the most appropriate choice. Honestly, a true air conditioner would provide a sure solution to a heat riddle but in addition to costing around 50% more than air coolers, with true air conditioners, you must run an exhaust duct from the portable piece to the outside. The only option for doing that in the living room area of my home would require spending an extra $150 plus for a 'pet door' attachment to the sliding glass door. The KuulAire PACKA50 indoors earlier than the estimated delivery date. Simply take it out of the box, add water and plug it in. The unit has a incredibly strong fan and seemed to work well. gifted portable cooler
i in truth purchsed a KA55 kuulaire portable cooler, essentially similar to the KA50 (but with bigger moisten reservoir, more power, and slightly longer timer), and since there weren't any reviews for either product thoughtfulness i'd put my 2cents in. I'm using this in my 12 x 16 ft greenhouse. In my old greenhouse i had a huge swamp cooler that unusually worked well, but didn't want to fuss with another large unit. The KA55 is a portable evaporative cooler. if you're in a family way an air conditioner you'll be disappointed. but in dry climates it does lower the temp by quite a few degrees, and humidifes the air as well. my only true complaint, and its a problem with every portable cooler i found, is that you cannot set it to come on in advance...for example i'd like to set it up to prove to be c finish on during the warmest hours of the day, but you can't do that...it does have an 8 hr timer (7 hr i think for the KA50) but again you have to manually all the time alternately it on; if you're going to be gone for the day you have to...
