Upright, versatile appliance for any season
Notwithstanding all the negative reviews of this unit on Amazon.com, I found several other positive reviews elsewhere on the internet, and so I decided to give it a try. I'll acquiesce I was skeptical as to how this unit would perform, especially since it seemed to be much less expensive than other 12,000 BTU units AND it included torridity pump functionality. That being said, I am quite pleased with its performance so far. After the terrible process of having to profit a damaged portable AC unit of another brand just a week earlier, I was relieved to see when this one at home at my door in rather robust packaging. Lifting it out of its "easy open" outer box and inner cardboard crate, I was masterful to observe its features in person for the first time. The multi-color display is a nice arouse; the bright VFD display provides simple animations of the unit's current function, as well as a root clock (used for setting the on/off timer), and the current temperature setting. Very saddened unit
Got this constituent today and for some reason the unit itself was covered in grease, something like a motor oil. Anyway, set it up and powered on, after 2 hr continuous, the unit was blow AIR only even on COLD mode. Called Amazon to get unit return and they told me I will have to pay $60 - $80 benefit shipping charge for defective unit. I will never buy and electric unit from Amazon again. I never have any problem to get full refund from other online retailer.

This air conditioner/wood stove/dehumidifier is highly overrated by the manufacturer. 12,000 BTU should make your home feel like a refrigerator. It doesn't! It doesn't draw nigh close to the air cooling capacity of window units with less than half this rating. The drainage egress is located way too close to the floor thereby not allowing for a hose to drain properly without elevating the component. While there is a condensation overflow tank drainage again is an issue. I ran the unit for a solid eight hours at the lowest temperature background/highest fan speed and the first floor of my small home was only marginally cooler. I was very disappointed as I had hoped this was the suit to both my cooling and heating needs.

Summer #2 – after the pledge expired – the overwork squirrel hutch confine fan blades disentigrated. I swear by the shoddy fan lodgings warped allowing get in touch with with the blades. Called Soleus to buy a replacement. Once the phone despatch inferno for good answered my call without suspended up, the clearly new fellow employment rep after several faulty starts once advised me they do not dispose of parts but for $45/hr will troubleshoot and fix the system – fitting issue it in. They are in El Monte, Ca. I am not. Chintzy materials – dirty funding.

Soleus Air Condition leaks.?

I have a Soleus Air Conditioner mock-up# PH1-12R-03 that leaks all over the floor. It appears the water is expectations from a small tube located at the bottom of the rear side. Is there supposed to be a plug or something that may be missing? Any helpers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
It is a portable indoor unit.
There should be a skimpy rubber knob that fits over the tube, to plug it. I found with mine I was emptying the part every couple of hours so I attached a rubber hose and closed off the end. It lasts much longer now, Although, after 3 years, my element is leaking not from the hose but overflowing from under the unit. I have been unable to solve this
