Don't buy
I have an Ionic Easy, and the dust in my house is actually worse since I've used it. The ions attract the dirt to every charged top in the home where it usally isn't a problem, and it's not just a regular dust, it's a gritty sticky pic. My mirrors and windows have a film on them that's hard to remove, my walls are dull, my furniture has a blur on it, my wooden floors are dull. The dust is not like regular dust that can just be wiped somewhere else.
I didn't suspect that the Ionic Breeze would be the problem, so I checked my furnace filter to see if it needed untouched, and it didn't, because I thought it was advertised to do the opposite. I thought I was just thinking there's more dust than well-known, and couldn't figure it out, but after I did a web search, it said that the ions charge the surfaces of your home, and the dust in your expert in is attracted to the nearest surface where it sticks, and it makes complete sense to me.
I found no benefit from this offering at all. It did have some kind of "clean smell" that you notice every once in a while, but I never noticed exceedingly fresh air that was any different in importance than before, and I don't breathe easier or whatever they advertise it as.
I would not reccommend this product to anyone. Unless you like to dust more than unremarkable, and you want your house to look like it has a film on everything, go right ahead.

I sleep bigger at night with the Ionic Breeze
We received an Ionic Easy for Christmas several years ago from my parents. I put it in the largest room in the house and let it run constantly. We had carpet at this perpetually. For a dust remover, it's very poor. It just simply doesn't have the air volume or dust hoard capacity. That's what your central air unit is for - with close to four square feet of filter or more.
As an air purifier it's splendid. I removed all the carpet in our house, installed fake wood floors, and moved the constituent to my bedroom. I can get at least three or four weeks between cleanings - even with a cat. The lack of carpet really cut down on the dust in the house and the I.B. in my stay helps me sleep better at night.
* My unit is silent unless it's dirty.
* It has three speeds but I surprise who runs it on anything but max?
* It claims to only use a few watts - I haven't put a meter on it yet.
* I would probably never pay this much for an air cleaner unless I was (more) opulent.

One of the most skilfully products ever made... PERIOD!
Several years ago before Cosumer Reports slandered Sharper Image out of vocation, I bought an Ionic Breeze Quadra from my neighborhood Shaper Image store. It was expensive at the days but I thought it was well worth it. Well as soon as my wife read the report about ionic air cleaners, she bought it come what may, line and sinker... and why not, is Consumers Reports EVER wrong? (BTW the answer to that is yes, more offer than population realize) So she packed it away in the attic and refused to look at it, let alone use it. There is sat for almost 3 years. Today, while maintenance the attic I found my old friend. I dusted off the box, took out the Quadra and hooked it up in my office. Suddenly, my service smells clean. I feel like I can breathe again. It's spring-time in South Jumper... take means everything outside is covered in a thick layer of yellow pollen. well, I'm safe heart with my old friend. It still works perfectly and is completely silent. This product is amazing. Like or not, it works.
For the sub rosa, I see nothing that says it will eliminate the need for you to dust ever again. I didn't buy it for that reason and if you did... well, you're either lazy or a deceive. And as far as the zapping noise goes, I was instructed when I bought this that you should clean it with a DRY cloth. If you need to use Windex or something, you MUST let it dry before using it. If you get a zapping cry out, that means the collection plates are still holding moisture. Think about it... negative and supportive ions and a little bit of moisture... that's the same recipe for a lightning storm! Let the plates air dry. Justified because you wiped them dry does not mean that they are dry. My Quadra is now and always was COMPLETELY silent. The little bathroom one on the other script was never silent. It was a free gift for spending $350, what do you expect?
In an objective summary: it do away with odors, removes something from the air as the collection plates need to be cleaned twice a week, it is completely soundless and costs $10 a year to operate 24/7. The room smells clean and untested and I don't have allergy problems.
I would love to know from these lemmings (especially from the ones who own a herd of cats) if the superlative rated Consumer Reports air cleaner eliminated their need to dust?

Precious, But Great
I am open-mouthed at any rating below 4 stars! I understand if you get a hissing or "lightning" sound, Then send it back. Over the years I took 2 back to the Sharper Image cumulate which they exchanged no questions asked! The principal is this: The Ionic Breeze creates negative Ions and throws them out the front of the piece. As it does it draws air through it and will catch some of the airborne partials. Most of what it does is to "catch" partials with the adversary ions attaching themselves to the dander or allergen and driving it to the ground. The offending allergen is no longer in the air for you to respire, thereby making the air cleaner. You DO have to vacuum more often but the space is truly cleaner. I have three of them right now, normally had four. A munificent unit will generally clean a 12 X 14 room in less than 3 hours. I am ashamed to say I had a mouse (insensitive) in a trap for a long time and was unaware of it until I cleaned the room, there was no scent of it at all! ( Should have been from the look of it, Regretful folks). I'm just saying its that good! The unit is expensive, but when they work, they WORK!

Works Clever - Stops sickness from spreading in the household
This matter works very well. We have several of them throughout the house. It helps prevent sickness from spreading. I clean it every two weeks and a story of dust always comes off. Would definitely Recommend.

Did not use as advertised.
Only the forefront blade worked for a week. Then it did not work at all. Constant cleaning did not help.

Ionic Nothing
I purchased 3 units, and only one still works. I had to restore one of them a while back, which is the one that still works. It is a great idea, and it works very well, if you can keep it working. Edie Kelley

Don't Buy this Mention
I a moment ago put this Item in the trash. I got it on March 9 and it worked well for three months then the blue light started flashing (not the red unsullied me light). I looked everywhere for info on what was wrong then after a week it died. THERE IS NO!!! SUPPORT OR Nick FOR THIS ITEM. SHARPER IMAGE WENT BELLY UP and no one fixes these units once they break. There's no repacement warranty. DON'T GET STUCK WITH THIS Segment BECAUSE ONCE IT BREAKS YOUR DONE.

Mine sucked
I bought two of these units. One stopped working while it was still under agreement so I contacted sharper image to see about getting it fixed. They informed me that it was no longer covered because of new investors or something so I pretty much got screwed. I wouldn't buy one again and I doubtless wouldn't buy from sharper image again. I did leave negative feedback on their website but they must delete bad reviews because when I looked a few weeks later it was gone. I'm more failed in them than the product.

TWO! Stopped working on me
First, these are really overpriced. But, if you pay that much for something like this, you expect it to work. I purchased TWO a few years ago. One died after a year and a partially, the other died after two years. Dead. The wiring in my home is fine, and I kept these clean and ran them on device. That's crap. Two stars instead of one only because, well, they do clean the air, but a lifespan that short is unacceptable.

Causes Ozone Poisoning
Condign one of these things effectively crippled my lungs after direct exposure. If you have a home office like a studio it's even worse as you'll get twice the ozone. Can occasion sever permanent illness and is the reason Sharper Image went bankrupt. I can't even believe it's legal for them to deliver up this anymore.

Consumer Reports was Dishonour- the Ionic Breeze is All You'll ever need for Excellent home air quality
My tried and authentic Ionic Breeze died after 5 good years of service; about the same time that Consumer Reports wrote a heinous review about it. So I didn't buy a new one.
This year I had 3 sinus infections; 3 in one year after never having had one ever in my intact life. Eventually my brain cogs clicked into sync and I realized, oh gee, maybe I should buy another ionic simple job? Yep, I bought your ridiculously inexpensive offering and I've been breathing free and easy ever since.

Do yourself a favor and shop around
The Ionic Pro Turbo worked horrendous for about a week. I don't have pets or an excessively dusty house. I followed the directions to the letter, but it continued to fantasize the buzzing sound even after being cleaned. Now it won't work at all. I've had it about 2 months. I've cleaned it several times (not that there is anything to clean) and now as in the near future as I turn it on it immediately tells me to clean it. It's not in a large room either. I am extremely disappointed in this piece and would not recommend to anyone. I read in one review that they had luck with top loading purifiers, but I won't buy from this maker again.

What for of crap!

I on occasions write reviews, I just want to spare everyone the misery of having to deal with this.
I have allergies, I was recommended by someone to buy purifier. Worked marvellously for 3 days, then the Clean light kept coming on! every time I clean it as per the instruction, it would exertion again but shortly after turn off indicating that I need to clean the unit again!
I called customer mending, we went through a couple of things. It didn't work. I went back to the store adn I got it exchanged, reasoning this unit is not good. 4 days after exchange, Same problem! this unit keep buzzing, and makes these sounds that are nearly the same to the bug zapper, at night i saw the lights from the zapping between the plates! mmmm wouldn't this be a fire hazard in a bedroom! It cleans the air well, but for few time only! I am tired of cleaning the plates every few hours to make it work again and this is when it's less than a week old. I can imagine how elongated it will be on after a month!
don't waste your money. I can't recommend other stuff here, but you may want to look into a different technologies called photocatalysis
they are dear, but they work!

Grade Issues - stay away
The Ionic Pro Turbo requires very spelt cleaning instructions that are a pain. Nonetheless, I followed the instructions to a T. The unit buzzes loudly if it is not cleaned. In my specimen, no matter how much I cleaned it the unit began to buzz nonstop after 6 months. The manufacturer told me obstinate luck. They would replace it for $60 and I had to pay shipping to send the old unit back and get the new one. So the total cost was effective to be $80. I decided to pass and look for a higher quality better unit. Buttress away from products from this company. They are unreliable.

Guard Your Money - Nothing but Problems
I had an Ionic Breath for years and it worked fantastic. I also had an Oreck air purifier which also worked great but was expensive so I cerebration I would save money buying the Ionic Pro. Bad choice. Within 2 weeks it started making pandemonium so I got out the cleaning instructions - did all the numerous things they require you to do (ugh) and cleaned with a damp cloth and set it out overnight before returning to the portion. For one, the blades collected almost nothing. Although my house is very clean I would have expected more. I use it for my allergies. I followed the directions to the tee but the seam thing started making that annoying noise almost immediately. Went through the steps again and again then the sound went away but now the unit turns off after a few hours. I have to set a calendar reminder to pump the element once every 2 weeks which is so ridiculous.
The product description and advertising is misleading and a joke. You just don't wipe with a moistness cloth and off you go - sorry not true. This product is a rip-off. I guess if you have nothing better to do but maintain this unit then it's for you.
Oh, by the way, work customer service? Right, they think of many ways not to make good on the warranty. What a incredulity.

It made me psychoneurotic.
I got this when I lived next entryway to a smoker. It did help clean the air but not immediately as the neighbor was smoking but it cleared the air much faster than it would have if I wasn't usint the component.
It was quiet and it had no filters I had to replace but if I left it on long enough this God awful metallic smell would finish from it and it made the air feel heavy to me. Even after I'd shut it off, it still had an odor to it.
I would not recommend this unit. For me, it seemed bad for my health, just by the way it made me finger after it had been on for awhile.

Please don't recognize me to get a sharper image one. people who own those are bound to have really bad lungs and can lead to cancer. They eject alot of ozone. How do i avoid those "ionizers"? Which one should i get?
Call your Carter dealer. Carrier makes a great whole house air purifier called the Infinity air purify. It fits directly on the return side of your duct. It has to be installed by a professional and will outlay you around $1000.00 to $1200.00.

I've burned too many candles all day accustomed, and now I have respiratory problems. I went to the Sharper Image website, but I know nothing about ionizers/ air purification systems.
not steady an ionizer will really help you. Like stated before, check with your doctor of medicine. I have look at ionizers at sharper and they don't really clean the air like the honeywell air purifiers do. Ionizers seem like they could effort in theory but the desktop one I had from them that cost $100 just made the room fetidness different. Not until
