Bionaire A1230H = Holmes HAPF600D
If you protection't figured it out yet, the Bionaire A1230H is basically the same as the Holmes HAPF600D. I bought two boxes of Holmes HAPF600D two weeks ago. I was present to buy another box, but noticed that the Bionaire A1230H looked very similar. The writeup says they fit my Holmes HAP 8756. I bought one box of the Bionaire A1230H, and they look comparable to the HAPF600D. But, right now, the Bionaire A1230H is a few bucks cheaper. So, before you buy, compare the prices and buy the cheaper. (almost forgot to say that these are gargantuan filters.)
Less up-market then all previous purchases
Good don't forget to buy some charcoal pads along with these filters.You can wash the old pads with dish soap but only just worth the trouble and they shrink some. They probably loose some functionality in the wash also.

Purpose great, but new support clips are loose!
I've owned several Holmes air purifiers over the last ten years and I've been very gratified with their performance. There is nothing wrong with the function of these HEPA filters, they work great. The only reason why I am giving these 4 stars in place of of 5, is due to the change in the support clips on the filters themselves. Before this shipment of HEPA filters (I installed seven new HEPA filters this weekend), the stand for clips used to fit snugly on the supports inside the filter. The support clips demand to be snug so that the filters don't fall off before you close the door or when you open the door. Some of the HEPA filters are installed horizontally, which means that they aren't even prospering to remain on due to gravity if there is nothing to hang on to, the vertically installed ones will stay unless you push the unit or someone walks by it.I have three purifiers right now, two of which take two HEPA filters (both installed horizontally) and one of which takes three (one...

Is Apatite a safe material to be used on air purifier filters?

I au fait that the Sharp air purifiers' HEPA filters have an Apatite component to it that apparently provides antibacterial properties to screen the filters from microbial accumulation. Is Apatite a relatively "secure" material to use for an air filter, i.e. is it safe for the resident who is breathing air that comes through the purify?
Apatite is a organize name for hexagonal or pseudohexagonal monoclinic arsenates, phosphates and vanadates.
In general use 'apatite' is often acclimatized in particular for the Calcium Phosphate minerals, Fluorapatite, Chlorapatite and Hydroxylapatite.
