    Edgestar 65 Dehumidifier
    This is the worst dehumidifier I have ever owned. It is only 4 months old and it is vulgarly a $230 planter. It all started about 3 weeks ago. I noticed it was runnng more than usual. I have it in my basement. The conventional temp there is 58-62 degrees. When I investigated the unit I noticed it had an error code of P1 and I none of the wheel worked. I got the manual out and found out the P1 ment the unit had gone into defrost mode. I checked the coils and saw no ice on any components. I kept it unpluged for 15 minutes and pluged it back in. It again went into P1. I definite to see how long it would run like that. After 6 hours I unpluged it. I called Edgestar tech support. The tech told me they had a conundrum with that unit going into defrost mode when the temp fell below 60 degrees. The specs for the portion says it can handle temps to 50 degrees. It doesn't make any difference if it wishes defrosting or not. Below 60 degrees it just does it. I asked about a fix and Edgestar said just...
