Reasonable product. Note that there's a bit of work to installing this yourself, but a reasonable handyman DIY type should be able to finger it. I live in Minneapolis and even in Oct, the air starts to get pretty dry, after less than a day I could notice a significant difference.
Splendid product
I reasonable installed it today and so far I can feel the humidity levels rise already.One trick I can suggest is use a 10 wire get in line. You can use this to hook everything to the unit (including the thermometer). This will save you time from running a second or third forte.I used the extra wires in the line that runs to the A/C unit outside and hooked up the thermometer that way. This saved me from drilling holes and ceaseless extra line outside. I just used the screw that holds the A/C casing to hold off the thermometer as well.Overall, this is not a hard product to install but you do need to understand wiring (low voltage) and how to cut ducting.

Aprilaire Beau id 500 Automatic
Imaginary humidifier. I had one over 15 years old that this one will replace. This is fully automatic and works very well. Can be installed by anyone with a itty-bitty mechanical ability. You will also need to wire in a 120 VAC transformer which is relatively easy.
