    Wishes replacement often
    We bought our humidifier two months ago and have already gone through two filters. Without considering the fact that we change the water in our humidifier daily, the filter quickly start smelling very moldy. It also seem to shatter rather quickly. I'm happy with the Hamilton Beach humidifier, but wish that the filters lasted a little longer.

    Fair-minded let it run until the filter is DRY and it will last
    If you flit the humidifer running after the tank has emptied until the filter is dry dry DRY (i.e., the humidity has dropped down), the filter will last and last. If you don't let it dry, but keep wadding the tank with water, the filter gets really skanky really quickly. I intellectual the hard way until I read one of the reviews on this site. Have run it for over a month now with no smell. Filter is great.I Fervour this humidifier because I can pop the parts in the dishwasher. I can get it CLEAN easily. Never found another humidifier that you can do this with.Who cares if the humidistat works precisely? It tells me if the humidity is high or low, and that's all that matters.It is indeed a BEAR to close the tank tightly, but we run it admirable just closing it as tight as we can.     Grows mushroom easily, but is a good humidifier
    Precisely a warning to those of you who are like me and aren't the most meticulous keepers of humidifiers: the large filter grows yeast very easily. A previous reviewer noted that you should keep the filter wet, but in my experience that just grows yeast. I've had to toss 2 filters for that reason. At this point, I've switched to Ultrasonic humidifiers because I'm afraid to use the previously moldy wilful mist one (esp with the dusty fan).

    When I first started using the 05518 Hamilton Beach Disentangled fog humidifier with these filters I went through several a season. They would get moldy and start to effluvium bad after a few weeks. It could last a scant longer if I ran it all the hour. However, last winter I found a neighbourhood recommending the use of a Bacteriostatic freely treatment with any calculated vapour humidifier. I got some from RPS products and it is surprising! One riddle lasted the whole opportunity ripe without a intractable. RPS also clutches over generic filters for this humidifier that seem to business fair-minded as well and are somewhat cheaper. With the resolution, 05518 is a fervid humidifier and the filters profession well.

    Don't buy Hamilton Beach products We purchased a Hamilton Beach unwelcoming blur humidifier for our daughter. We go through one sieve/month. The filters are not sold in any locals stores and we can only buy them on Amazon. We most often have to obtain (6) at a prematurely because the filters sniff moldy after 3-4 weeks. Now the remuneration has jumped from $6.99/dribble to $15/cloth. We are discontented with the spin-off and it's permformance.

    How to clean fan on hamilton beach humidifier?

    I've looked at the online instruction guide but it doesn't say how to take it apart to get to the fan, so don't point me there! I've unscrewed screws to get to it but no avail. Its very dusty.

    you can blow it ot with a compresser if you can see the fan .
