Made cured the second time
The 18" type I bought over ten years ago and was very satisfied with it. This 16" rendition improves on the earlier for only one reason: the foot-extensions can securely be fastened to the erector extreme everywhere, unlike the older version which had a tendency to come apart after a few years. One other problem, though by no means worth mentioning, is the tilt adjustment has a tendecy to weaken. This, all in all, is a fine product with a crucial price!

Penurious with minimal use
The fan no longer oscillates utterly, turns half way and makes clicking sound; found a small broken piece of shapeable on the floor after minimal use (around 100 hours); fan motor still works; I suppose I could walk back and forth in front of it in lieu of.

Unblemished for the price
This fan is just now ok. I found the assembly confusing. The fan is top heavy. It could easily be knocked over. Also, the fan part itself tilts up and down, but since it is so heavy, it occasionally will stop in withdraw from down if bumped slightly. It makes an odd noise when it osculates. This is an ok product for the price.

indoors with missing pieces
This would have been a major buy but it arrived with missing pieces.
All I got was the crossbars for the feet and the fan part for the top.
There was no middle part or neck, if you will.
I guess these companies mentioned it's too much trouble to send back so I won't because it is, and I have a PVC pole I"m going to use with it's own feet.
But it was really a drag to not have the part that makes it halt up in the box.

Superiority. cheap product
The fan was easy as pie put together; It took about 15 minutes on my first try and 5 minutes with a second fan I purchased. All you need is a phillips noggin screwdriver and some common sense. The are surprisingly sturdy and solid even though it's made from some plastic held together by a few screws. It does it's job pulchritudinous effectively too. I have an 850 sq. ft apartment and it kept it nice and cool. Honestly, I don't think I'm ever prospering to buy an oscilating fan from anybody else as I don't think I could find as great quality of product as this is for as cheap a price. It's a artistic bargain.

works unbelievably well
I got it for when I go to the gym, I squeeze out alot
and really need a fan to keep me going.
The clip is large and sturdy, it swivels to many

Up against it After 2 Months
I put this fan in one spray and it worked nicley for about 2 months, but I was thinking about adjusting the angle. I grabbed the clip to massacre the fan from the pole it was on, and the fan stopped working. Some wire must have popped loose inside because it just won't start again. For something like this to come about so soon after I got it, in the course of regular handling, says to me that this is a piece of junk.

Works thin, not too noisy
I bought this fan mostly to relaxed the bedroom at night during our occasional spells of hot weather here in the Pacific Northwest. It works keen to that end. The volume of air moved is adequate, though significantly less than the fan I used previously. However, in its favor, the oscillation of this fan spreads the air around control superiors and it is much quieter, though by no means silent. The difference between the speeds is marginal so I just use it on high. The clamp works well, allowing me to securely connect the fan to the frame of the sliding window, a much better option than the previous fan which balanced uneasily on the sill. I would buy this offering again and would recommend it for those who have moderate cooling needs.

Would not advocate
This fan works "ok". The dissension between high and low is slight. I bought it to clip to the treadmill while I walked. That didn't work out. The fix is not big enough, and has to be clipped to the handle. The cord is curly (like an old phone cord) and is only a few feet dream of, so you have to use it with an extension cord. Because even if you are close to an outlet, the cord is so tightly curled it won't reach. The fan itself is also very massive. I would not recommend this fan.

Works well composed, but doesn't move much air
Extraordinarily rest, but it doesn't move much air. Two speeds, but they don't make much difference in the sound or volume of air moved. Good in an part environment. Well made product.

Very inadequate air

Tumultuous and flimsy
I purchased this fan because of its stiletto size and footstand being an X as oppossed to a round platform. After assembly I observe that the fan is quite resounding in LO, in HI it sounds like you are at the airport standing next to a Cessna 150. Plastic base and pillar has flexibility to it and wobbles unconfidently should you touch or move it. It does not feel like a $50 fan. Unless the motor is of such eternal quality and will still run to cool me when I get to hell, I think you can do as well with one half its price.

I bought my next one of these, for less money this time round, and it has been running for several days, my old one is st6ill working ater 3 years of unremitting day in day out use.:) Everything I said about the fan then is still true, and I'm still impressed with this fan. Best fans I've ever owned.

This fan is passionate! Out of the box it's easy to put together, and has clear instructions. I had it together and plugged in within twenty minutes, using no tools.
This fan is a champ, it moves a lot of air and the starting-point being four pronged allows it to be placed in a lot of places the the solid round bases don't. The four prongs give it firmness and they're strong enough to keep the fan from overturning. They are made from a heavy duty type of plastic. I had three fans of this type that were sixteen inches in diameter and they had four metal prongs. They made the fan very weighty and inconvenient to move. They also didn't move as much air as this one does.
Noise? Well I've used fans all my life and none of them are as quiet as an air conditioner, but the snow-white noise is valuable to me, so it doesn't bother me. It's almost impossible for me to sleep without a fan going because I've usually got one prospering somewhere in the house. This one makes a little more noise than some fans and less than others. It makes less noise than a twenty inch box fan anyway, if that tells you anything, and that's on the mid-point setting. I haven't had to use the high setting because the medium setting does the job of a high stage set on the other fans I've used over the years.
Power: This thing really moves some air. I don't know whether it's the blade adapt or the number of blades but I had papers and stuff on my desk that got blown off and the fan was across the room, on a medium scenery, at that. You can feel the air flow all over the room. My living room is approximately six hundred square feet. The blades are shaped differently than any I've ever seen. They are made from ponderous duty plastic, very narrow and slightly curved with a slight twist. It looks like they'll be much easier to make a revelation when the time comes.
The back of the grill is plastic and the front is metal. I don't place too much importance on that kind of subject. But I thought I'd mention it in case someone wants to know.
Oscillation: It oscillates well without jumping and jerking, the oscillating arc is congenial of narrow, but that's okay for me, if it swung any wider it would be hard to fit in some spaces. The slightly shorter oscillating arc and the pronged feet force it fit in a lot of places other fans of it's type wouldn't fit. The prongs are slim enough to fit right under the edge of the sofa or a chsir. I can put it in the spot behind my end table or behind the sofa, and it doesn't take up floor space.
The metal pole of the stand seems unfaltering enough to stand up to use, and the plastic coupling to adjust the height is a heavy plastic and easy to msnipulate. The wingnut that arrange the tilt of the fan does a good job, without having to be constantly tightened. The degree of upward match is good but not extreme. You can't have an extreme amount of tilt with a fan this big. It oscillates smoothly when tilted to the ceiling without any lagging or toil on the motor, or strange noises. The height range of the pole is versatile. It can be adjusted until the fan is about three feet off the astonish up to about five feet off the floor.
I've gone through a lot of fans in thirty years and this one outdoes any other fan I've ever had. The only other fan I've run across that did such a great jon was my great grandmother's massive window fan. It was heavy metal thing that was permanently installed in a window by screws. She would offend that thing on at night and it would cool the entire house. I'never seen another one like it.
Moving on. I've been using this fan for about a month now and it's performing excellently. I am still very satisfied and very pleased with my purchase. it was well worth the price to me.

Unoppressive to Assemble, but Takes Up a Lot of Floorspace
This is a exquisite fan. I'm lousy at assembling things, and it me took less than 10 minutes (no tools). The fan is somewhat quiet and puts out a nice breeze. The feet have a surprisingly large footprint - ~ 32" x 32" which can limit where the fan can be placed. Before purchasing, I comprehend other reviews that commented on the flimsiness of the feet. They are not particularly sturdy, so care requests to be taken.

proper value, more wind for your buck.
For its fee range I have not found anything that blows this hard. I live in a hot area and go through alot of fans and this is the most power you will get for under $100. The only problem is that you must be careful with the stand as it is brittle plastic. I was not careful when assembling and cracked a leg however, it still stands dry.

Heats things up in no notwithstanding!
I've had this stove-top for a couple of weeks now and it works great! It's still below freezing in the mornings where I live and we keep the heat off at incessantly to save energy. When I wake up, it's straight to the home office and I turn the unit on to Turned on. It puts out so much heat that I'm all warmed up in no time. The oscillator works great, but I prefer to keep a settled stream of air on me! The controls are very easy to use. I've heard of lots of heaters overheating and shutting off. This one hasn't done that at all! It's a influential little size to heat up a small room and the price is excellent! I would definitely obtain this unit again!

Decent Heater At Best
Works honestly well but does not spread the heat very far and the themostat cuts off when the air very close to the unit is warm. For a husky bathrrom, this unit is not powerful enough even when set on "high".

Surprisingly Sunday
We material in the Northeast. The treadmill we use for exercise is located in a 10x10 corner of our unheated basement. We needed to add intensify in some way to make that area more comfortable during the winter months. This Holmes space heater has worked surprisingly well in accomplishing that. The built in thermostat is a worthy feature, and it's not unusual for the it to shut itself down before a workout is completed. We'll likely buy another one as we get rid of more of our junk and open up other spaces down there.

Oscillating fan stops on one side?

I tried lubricating the oscillating linkage, which worked hurriedly. The fan gets 24/7 use and one day it just completely stopped while facing one side. Once I turned the fan rocker the other way- the blades started spinning again. What gives? I can only use it in the fixed position. Its a Holmes 2Sang-froid twin-blade desk fan.

When it oscillates back and forth- it every so often sounds like the motor loses power...but then recovers, after completing the refashion. Any fan experts out there? It's a Holmes dual rotor(two sets of blades), 18" escritoire fan.
Sounds like your oscillating linkage requirements lubrication. Remove the cover, and place a couple of drops of 3 in 1 oil on the joints of the linkage, do not use more than that.
