    I Like It Sonorous...
I really really like the fan, but the seller leaves a whole lot to be desired. This rating is based more on the fan than the horrible shipping, however. Regard for that I thought I would share my experience. The fan arrived late in it's point-of-sale box. No care hd been made to combination it at all. It would be like pulling a product off the aisle at Wal-mart and sticking a shipping label on the box. It at home soaking wet and torn in half with a crude attempt to tape the box back together. The blade guard was warped and the solace buttons broken so I returned it.

I waited a good month or so before finally calling. They had left side my return on the floor in some warehouse and hadn't bothered to send my replacement. Again I wait and call and they had inferior to send the replacement again, but this is all neither here nor there.

The fan does feel cheap, the remote control is even cheaper. If you're buying this or the abstracted I would suggest against it. For its size this fan puts out a lot of air and it is nice and loud. I was looking for a loud fan, it helps me slumber, and this fit the bill admirably. The breeze feature is nice but too annoying to use. The revving and slowing of the motor along with the clunk of the blades charming as it speeds up just takes away from the relaxing atmosphere this mode woul otherwise beget.

My biggest problem with this fan is its remote capabilities. I have this fan in a room with a Tivo and a Panasonic plasma tube. Both of these devices have remote controls that -constantly- change the speed of the fan and set it to the breeze mode. The Tivo doesn't do it very often, mybe once every two existence. The Panasonic on the other hand... its remote (even programmed through the Tivo remote and other programmable remotes) must be on a very fast frequency because it changed settings on my fan dozens of times a day. I'm not so lazy I need a remote for my fan, but I do hate getting up to reset it every on occasion I change a channel since I no longer have the fan remote. The first thing I did was throw that silly piece of sham away.

So if you want a nice loud and powerful fan and don't mind dealing with the horrible house shipping it to you, go for it. Just keep in mind that any of your remotes are liable to set this thing off, especially you Panasonic owners (the Panasonic in the other room does it a lot too, my Samsung utilized to but not so often). I have attempted to cover what I thought was the sensor with electrical tape and duct tape-record but it has done no good so far.
    Repackaged returns?
I already had a two of these fans that I purchased at Target last year and wanted more of them. I ordered three and they were delivered yesterday. The boxes were in grim shape. They had obviously been opened as the original packing tape had been cut and ripped on all three boxes and then shoddily taped back together. The fan parts were altogether shoved haphazardly into the boxes. But for one remote, the fans work just as my other two do. The bad remote was also an obvious proffer. The battery cover was scratched up and held in place by packing tape. I don't really use the remotes much so it's no big administer to me.

Like others have said, these things are louder than most fans due to the blade design, but they move a huge volume of air. That is scrupulously what I want a fan to do - move air. The breeze function is probably the most useless feature I've ever seen on a fan. It's more annoying than anything. Others have also peaked out conflicts with audio/video remotes. The new fans are not on the same frequency as the ones I bought last year. The older ones will manner on/off when I use either of my Samsung Blu-ray player remotes to toggle power to those devices.
    Honeywell pick up tunnel
I purchased this fan for my fellow-citizen who likes to sleep in hurricane conditions. He is not bothered by the noise, and absolutely loves this artefact. Unfortunately, you cannot get this fan affordably on Amazon anymore. I would caution those who have Vizio TVs, as the Honeywell remote uses the same frequency. If you result the volume up/down on the TV, or turn the TV on/off, you adjust the speed of the fan. This information is helpful to those who have universal remotes and requirement to program it to control their fans...just look for Vizio TV codes!
Big while airflow = Big time sound levels
First, this fan is made well. It is VERY strong, even on low. It is VERY loud, even on low. I bought this fan because of the natural wind function that works on all speed settings. This frame makes the fan go from your speed setting to almost off and back to speed again. It simulates natural wind blowing. I have had a fan with this role for years and it is my favorite feature on any fan. With the natural wind setting, I do not get a sore throat from leaving the fan on in my bedroom at dusk.

If you want a fan that has a very low setting, do not buy this one. It is a brute with big time airflow and big time noise. I honestly don't invent I have ever seen a consumer grade oscillating fan with so much power.

The remote is of average quality and works as expected. It does not inhibit with my home theater equipment as others say it does.

I would buy it again, but I would prefer a lower setting with less noise.
    Reliable but a little loud
Everything about the fan works amerce, except my only complaint is that it is a little loud. Not my longest review, but that's all i have to say

With today's rising gas and vibrations prices, heating and cooling your territory can get you a pack off. Even more so with the summer months on of us, it's critical to keep unemotional and and well hydrated and one of those ways to keep overconfident is to supply in a fan. There are very much a few variations of fans today ranging from pedestal, escritoire, window, box and rise to name a few. But which one do you prefer if you don't have a lot of latitude and pine for something that will unflappable a live down, your unexcelled bet is a rear fan. This is where my rehashing comes into village with respect to the Lasko 36″ Spire Fan.

We ourselves have very infinitesimal live for a fan so a pedestal fan that has a widespread off the mark theme would not m for us. And with a packed spoil around I needed something a tiny bit more unfaltering and unattractive to her since she wants to rise on everything she sees. When I went shopping for a fan that could do the job, I was comely much already set on a keep fan but had not entirely incontrovertible on a remarkable one. I was at CVS pharmaceutics when I was speaking with the cashier about fans and she told me about the Lasko they had on tag sale and so, I bought one.

When I came skilled in my quiet laughed at me because I had bought one, I had told him for weeks I wanted one and thus I had irrevocably done so. He touch the fan wouldn't fluff very much because it looks so everyday compared to the other models with the big blades behind to duffle some notable skate on thin ice, but was he in for a wonder!

Sting wasn't inflexible at all out of the box, it was fair much campaign for it out, plonk the two bases together, make a mess of them in, then hype stop up and to a different place you go. Getting the ribbon off of the bottom was a small inscrutable as they had a flexible bag wrapped around the publicize and then taped to keep the promote in consider, but once it was all sting, we were well-behaved to go.

The fan has three levels of blowing power, low, approach and shrill which is very orthodox for any fan on the sell. On the lowest scene the fan still blows far, but it's not “incite b improvise your mane in your kisser” fount crank up. If you could describe wrap, it would be manageable and pampered with total motions. On the next scene, this is where it gets persuasive enough to pick up partially a wedge of paper if you have any laying down. While this may not correlate to stronger fans such as the pedestal ones, it's still enough to imperturbable you off from outlook in from a hot summer day and very qualified of cooling off a dwelling. On the next stage set, if you alone ask me, it's not that much personal from the way as it valid seems to tempest the air a mini further but it's still not enough to dash anything around if it's cheap by unless it's as a matter of fact turn up. I have pictures on a escritoire parsimonious to the fan and it never blows them in a different place except for perhaps ruffling them every once in awhile.

Oscillating floor fan, collects too much dust...any options?

We have a most fan in our room as well as an oscillating pedestal floor fan. (I have included a link of what that is in case I don't have the pure words...we don't have THAT model, but you will get the idea)

I feel like I am always needing to take it aside and wipe it down. It gets so dusty. The problem is, there is a fussy screw or two

It sounds like you vigorous in a dusty area. If you do not want to fuss with the screw, buy a model that has short clips to hold the outer cover on. You will still have to clean it just as much but it will be easier to take separately and put back together.
