    Significant Replacement Filter
This strainer is just as good as the original. I have been using one of these filters for over 4 months now and there is no evidence of deterioration or mold whatsoever. I will presentation two helpful hints to potential consumers: (1) Make sure you use an antibacterial chemical addition in your humidifier every time you refill your reservoirs and (2) Always rotate your filter upside down each measure you add water. This will GREATLY increase the lifetime of your filter. Also, the twin pack is a great buy!
    Perpetuate their life
For those of you getting only a week or two of benefit from these filters, on a whim I ran one through my dishwasher using regular detergent and a few dishes. I let it go through the hot dry cycle, but think it might be advantage to pull it out before that. Some of the plastic screen was distorted, but not badly. The webbing was disturbed a bit but not badly. I put it back in the utensil on the next filter change and it has been acting like a brand new one. I have the little humidistat gauge on my constituent, so as the filter goes bad it shows up on the gauge. My next test is to see how many times it can survive the DW. Will shorter cycles vocation? For those with high amounts of calcium in their water vs the manganese I have, maybe some vinegar instead of cleaner. And maybe save up 2-3 filters and run a dedicated cycle. Those with aluminum cages on the filters might not like the DW detergents. Try it and add an id about it. I do think the engineering of these units where they rely on...
    Serves its r
It served its role. Actually, have reordered it and on our 2nd set of these. Last winter of 2009, we had used a a set of w as well from December to about April. Only advice for others who like to buy one, don't consign to oblivion to get those bacteriostatic water additive and/or humidifier container cleaning solutions to prolong the autobiography of these filters and to minimize mold and/or algae in the water -therefore, cleaner and moistened/humidified cool blowing in to the leeway.

Honeywell HC-14 Replacement Filter for Holmes Cool Moisture ...

The sieve was priced really, and the box did say Honeywell (it wasn’t a ramble-off as some other reviews indicated it might be). I hardened the clean with a Pro-tec videotape last winter and didn’t variation the drip once. In accomplishment, I never even looked at it until it was antiquated to set it up again this winter. That’s when I realized it was bonny moldy and I should buy a new one. I received the new membrane strain on Dec. 22 – it didn’t even last me a month!!!

The only matter I did differently this prematurely around was TRY to take haler mindfulness of the clarify to give its mortal…because the riddle at home before the protec videotape (both of which I ordered on Amazon) I utilized a taper off of blench in the salt water tanks. The drizzle had a blanch odor, which didn’t irritation me, but my boyfriend was troubled about our newborn pant in the chemical – so I free using lighten when the cover videotape here. I also flipped the clean inferior, so the top part (which tended to dry out) stayed wet. Within a few natural life of the Keep tape and no blench, the riddle started to steam of mushroom and then it as a matter of fact began to upon excepting. The gauze was decomposing and stunk. I virtuous threw it out and am back online to broken-down again.

What have I well-versed: While my humidifier kicks meet interfere and keeps the continuous upstairs breadth soggy in the winter, the amount of be that as it may, vitality and moneyed I squander in filters and preserve cartridges proper doesn’t boost it profitable. I could buy three cheapo detached-over humidifiers, with their itty incomplete filters and lap them each once a week – and that’s still less occupation quotidian! …not to report a heck of a lot cheaper!

I have hybrid sensitivity about this artefact. The clarify works well but does not last hunger. Toadstool builds up very soon. I have to discharge it prosaic and take it fa so that it can air-out to perserve a longer human being span. I us it everry incessantly in the Honeywell 1012. This system has trim down the count of sinus headaches I get–that’s the out-and-out further. The adverse inappropriate is that each sift sell for over $9 dollars and only last approaching a month if you depart it in continuously–Close to $120 a year. I called Honeywell to find out if there was a replacement cheesecloth that did not need shifting. Unfortunately, No.

Looking for a replacement filter for my Holmes WWHM-1600 humidifier. Would a HWF62 filter work?

My humidifier is older. The directions say to get a WWH 620 run, but I don't think they make that number anymore. I can't find it anywhere (including the internet). I'd like to correct a filter (perhaps the HWF62) off the internet since we can't find one locally. Would it work for my humidifier?

I looked on the Holmes website but my 1600

take the old sift to your local hardware store and maybe they can find one that will work.
