compulsory but expensive
I bought the Hunter air purifier for my underground store. The unit itself was about $60 and the replacement filters are about $30.00, every three months. So, it is rather like a printer that is cheap to buy, but they get you with the replacement of the ink. The air purifier works well with these filters.

Weeks ago I bought a Hunter Concern Free humidifier(not the one with the night light), and after a couple of days it started making a "whirring"/outlandish motor noise. I called the company tech support and they said to take it back and the Board it.
So I got a new one and it was fine, but now it is starting to make the same
In our showroom we use a humidifier made by Honeywell. it is called QuietCare. This humidifier is honestly quiet and works very well. Keeps our flooring at 40-50 degree humidity lay waste which is optimal to keep wood floors from warping and bending. The water wishes to be replace once per day during winter months in Minnesota (very low humidity level).
