Aftermarket Filters for the HealthPro Increased by is the Way to Go!
I have acquainted with the IQ Air brand filters in my Health Pro Plus for years now, but with all the recent issues with the bad smell and out gassing prospect from some of the IQ Air HEPA filter I began looking for an alternative filter manufacturer. I found a filter producer in New York (USA) that builds filters for the aerospace and medical industry. They now carry a full line of replacement filters for Health Pro and Well-being Pro Plus. The filters are housed in an aluminum housing (not Styrofoam like the IQ Air ones), they are exceedingly well built and have a pre-gauze screen built in. The added bonus is that since they are built here in the USA they cost less. So I am giving the IQ Air brand purify 3 stars due to their high price and additional charge for the pre-filter kit. With that said, I highly plug "HEPA Air Direct" filters as a high quality and cost effective alternative to the IQ Air filters.
A positive filter for a great air cleaner
The IQAir is horrendous, and the machine tells you when to change the filters, so it keeps working and working. And the V-5 helps take chemical smells from varnish out of the shelter very quickly.
Daunting filter, no other filter comes close
This is the gas and odor colander for the IQAir Healthpro PLUS. You can upgrade a HealthPro to a Plus (check IQAir's website for ins and outs). I just got the Plus to start with, and my wife and I are glad we spent the extra money upfront. The filters seem outrageous. THEY AREN'T. The filters last a stupefyingly long time. It filters some 200 gases including VOCs. I upstanding used the filter to easily clear the air in minutes after spraying some Bissell carpet cleaner that has a depraved strong "scent". An IQAir Healthpro Plus saved my wife and I from suffering while several branches fires over the past few years have lapped at our neighborhood. Before having the IQAir, we both suffered seriously whenever brush fires were anywhere within 50 miles. After two years of us raving about our IQAir, our next door neighbors (asthma sufferers) sought subterfuge in our home during the last fire which was a couple miles upwind and within sight of our house. One evening of easy mouthful of air was enough to...
