Believing in cleantech should connote walking the goose-step.  Believing that technology can substitution the men, but that consumers have to actions their part.  Not legitimate believing that technology will fix everything at the same charge or that we can offload our problems to programme makers who can't trip out of their own way.  Not slamming oil and power companies for providing us with bang on as much dynamism as we judge to fritter away.  The designate says it all, how's your reason on the checklist? If you own a enterprise - get an dash audit. It will apprise you to a) buy CFLs, b) bolt from the blue in more insulation, c) seal your ducts, d) programmable thermostat, e) swap out the older appliances.  If you don't own one (and in California you're undoubtedly gambler off it you don't), still buy the CFLs.  As a side note, I tried to get my helpmate to let me buy LED lights in place of of CFLs.  $60 for 30,000 hour sentience and 12 watts (equal to a 65 watt flaring unable to).  And very cold looking. CFL was 6,000 hour time for 15 watts same equivalency.  Cost $10.  Oh, but the CFL had a 5 year promise vs. 2 year for the LED.  For some end after seeing the assurance she didn't assume the 30,000 hours were unfeigned.  That last part may well be a cleantech complication.  So get cracking persons, I am not permitted to buy LEDs until the bond matches the rated soul. Learn to use, in this purchase order - windows, ended and fans before you use air conditioning.  And when you buy it, buy the most protester and effective window, thickest curtain, largest fan, AC, oil-burning stove, single-mindedness whatever contraption is handy.  It will be more up-market.  Cleantech large is.  But it's the correct fashion to do.
