It's sorrow to use
As other's have mentioned, it's piercing. It's a desk fan, it's on my desk, near my ears, and it creates a lot of noise in my otherwise quiet office.
But that's not the veritable downside. It's the controls. They SUCK.
There is a little wheel thing near the base that you use to disclose on and off and change the level. It's impossible to use with one hand, so you have to *pick the fan up* in order to turn it on/off/up/down.

Dissonant on highspeed
At continuously my wife uses this pretty little fan. On the low setting it is fairly quiet, but on the high site the sound is enough to keep me awake. I have the fan sitting on a thick resilient foam pad and that does help, but the highspeed setting is usless.

carry out bedside fan
I've tried a lot of negligible fans for my small bedside table and this one is the best. It has a very small footprint - a bit bigger than a massive coffee mug. It is very easy to swivel side to side and up and down. On the low setting, it does not feel like a strong become frightened to the face - just enough breeze to cool me off at night. And it's so quiet, you can't hear it from more than a couple feet in another place (i.e., doesn't wake sleeping spouse.) One person commented about the control dial being troubling to manage: it isn't if you wrap your hand around the base and then use your thumb to push the dial back and forth.
This is the fan you hanker after for those night-time hot flashes, ladies! And it's nice looking too.

Not that authoritative
When I look over the advertisement for this product, I thought it would be perfect to cool my laptop, as I use it for long hours as a desktop. Well, the matter has to stay very close to help cool it. It is not as powerful as I thought it would be. I would recommend people try other products before buying this one. Moreover, when I rotate it off I realize it is not that quiet.

Works as intended
I don't get it the reviewers complaining about the lack of power. It's a 'personal fan' and I wouldn't want to sit in a wind Chunnel that makes my eyes water and all my papers fly away, which speed two would if it were any more powerful. I keep it about two feet from me on the escritoire. Speed one gives me a gentle breeze with almost no noise and speed two makes my hair fluttering a little and it's still quiet enough to be drowned out by the sound of the A/C. As for the switch I don't find it difficult and can flip it with one hand. I spread out the fan first, hold down the fan by putting a finger between the base and the fan and use my thumb to switch it on and off. The fan pivots left and immediately, which is nice, so you can adjust the direction without having to slide the entire fan around. It's stylish, finger-risk-free, and I got two for one on woot, so I'm very happy with the purchase.

A Cooler Sun Accommodation
Our sun abide faces almost due west and that means HOT in Texas in the summer. I installed sun screens on the floor-to-greatest windows but it still was uncomfortable there. This little fan makes a BIG difference in the temperature so we can enjoy that room all year elongated now.

Vornado Fan
Not much of a fan! You have to be rectitude in front of it to feel anything. The only way to get "some" air is to use high speed which is noisy. To it's credit, it is small and fits on the nightstand. The on/off rod is hard to use. An ok fan if you don't need a high powered one.

Performs well
Bought this fan for a humble bathroom. It is performing consistently with what I expected based on the reviews. It's powerful enough to make a metamorphosis, and I can feel the airflow from a few feet away. Great for personal use in a small office or flat. It's nice looking and does not look out of place with my decor. Very happy with this purchase.

Allowable Product
I taste this fan except for the on/off switch. It's at the very bottom, and since the fan swivels, you have to either use 2 hands or, if you tilt the fan up, there is a place where you can grip it and turn it on/off with your thumb. If this sounds embroiled with, you are right. But once you get it turned on, it works wonderfully.

Of course Love It!
I ordered this fan even after reading some pretty cancelling things about it. Not sure why - I absolutely love it! I have it on my desk at work and only need to set it on the lowest placement to get plenty of air. Sure, the motor makes a little noise but what do you expect? I love the plan and it looks so nice sitting on my desk. Most people can't even tell that it's a fan. Definitely going to not cricket c out of commission another one for next to my bed.

I like the fan. It is bigger than I brooding and louder than what I read on the advertisement. It does the job for one room but I am hoping you can make a quieter fan in the future.

enhance AC efficiency greatly
Consumes 60W at the highest skedaddle, but makes the room feels much cooler. Certainly saves a great deal of vivacity considering that most HVAC units consume more than 1000 W.
Very useful in improving the efficiency of AC units that are installed almost the floor. Cold air tends to stay near the floor. Without this circulator there can be 5-10 status difference even within a 300 sqf room.
It is less useful in the winter (again for HVAC units that are installed imminent the floor), because warm air is more likely to spread to a wider area on its own as it ascends. But the circulator stills succour bringing the warm air from the ceiling back down to the floor.
Noise level is OK, and you can't barely notice it at the lowest precipitateness level.
The most efficient way to utilize this circulator:
(1) After turning on your AC units for 20 minutes, use a infrared thermostat to find out the coldest speck within a room. It is usually right on top of the AC unit.
(2) Place the circulator on that spot, and point the air surge toward the ceiling area on top of where you usually sit (e.g. the sofa if you are watching TV).
(3) the circulator will drive the cool air upward (without the intervention it tends to clear up down in the floor area in front of and not very far away from the AC unit), and then slowly descent from above you. And you will feel a lot cooler because of the diminish air and the breeze.
Comparison vs. Honeywell HFT114B Oscillating Super-Turbo High-Performance 3-Rush Fan:
The Honeywell fan is $13 cheaper, consumes less energy (40W), its fan face can oscillate about 60 degrees, but you won't consider a thing standing 5 feet away from it. The two are as noisy at the highest speed level. Lastly, the plastic material looks much sturdier in the Vornado. Conclusion: I would certainly buy another Vornado if I need a second fan.

THIS Puny VORNADO FAN WILL BLOW YOU AWAY!!
I have cast-off these Vornado fans for the past four or five years. This new fan was a replacement for an identical Vornado fan which I thought had stopped working. Well I had somehow I had cut the power to the fan, hence the reckon it quite. So now I have a spare as the old Vornado is still working perfectly.
Speaking of working, my little fan, will blow ill poor (about one-half the way across my two car garage). We recently had a yard sale and brother was it hot. So I plugged the, older of the two fans, into a face ruin plug in the garage. This Vornado fan kept a cooling breeze the whole day. So now as stated prior I have two of these identical fans and will not get rid of either one.
I can praisefully recommend these Vornado fans. Just shop around to find the best price for one.

Robust compact fan
For the bonus this is a great fan.
Haven't had the fan for very long but I use it at least 4 times a week when I run on the treadmill. It's very powerful, really circulates the air well in a lodgings and very compact. You can't beat it.

Undeniably what I hoped it would be
On its lowest assist, this little fan provides a pleasant breeze from ten feet away with virtually no noise. The easy is sufficient to keep my office perfectly comfortable with the air conditioning set to 80 degrees. This product is surely what I hoped it would be.

only not strong enough
Small looking item and seems sturdy enough but just does not create enough air flow. You basically have to have this on top of you to pity any air at all. So, if you can keep it close, like on next to you on a desk, then it should work fine. But, if you have to keep it a few feet away I would probably go with something else.

Lover IT! Perfect for small office/cubicle.
The Vornado V8 Flippi delivers on its promises. The launder lines, small size, variable output, and oscillation brings adaptability to meagre-office cooling and air circulation.
The appearance and size are perfect for a small office where often all of the within reach work- and shelf-space is limited. I have mine on a shelf in my credenza/book-case, on a shelf where I keep 3-tinkling-binder reference materials. It takes up little space and blends well with the black binders and pink wood finish.
I really love the way it moves air and the vertical range of air-flow alteration. Often, oscillating fans have a limited vertical adjustment for air-flow direction (if they have vertical arrangement at all), and the air flow tends to send loose papers on my desk flying. The Vornado doesn't, even though it is putting out more air than my foregoing fan.
The Vornado is quieter than my previous fan, but still provides the white noise I need for the occasional times when pronunciation privacy is needed. I train incoming staff, and my office in the training room is a beneficent cubicle (so I can be available to trainees should they have issues during the training program).
My husband also loves the fan, and will be purchasing one for his psychotherapy offie.

Bad fan
I bought this fan from Fred Meyers. It was "15% off", and that should have been a tip off but I got it anyway. It sucks because it doesn't blast (ha-ha). It LOOKS real nice, and it oscillates but as a fan it's just bad. The box states that it "moves air up to 30 feet". That must be a printer's because it should say should say "moves air up to 3.0 feet". I returned the fan to the store and the guy at the customer service desk said that he has seen a lot of these fans draw nigh back, people are really displeased with the fans' performance. When I went to find a different fan, I noticed that these fans are now "25% off". Go translate.

OK but not lofty.
Pros:
Slick
Quiet on low

Cons:
Lackluster output on low compared to other small fans (the hypothesis of cooling a room with it is silly)
High is very noisy
Inconvenient switches
Had to jiggle the blades with a pen a bit before it started working
If for some weird reason you are compelled to point it strait up in the winter, like the manual suggests for "circulating furious air" that is "trapped" in your ceiling, the fan struggles and pushes less air.
Like I said, its OK but nothing great.

Top looks, usual performance.
The urbanized design of this fan is great. I don't mind the nearly hidden front switch. I can work it with one hand. Took me a few minutes to cut out that the back switch was the oscillating switch. It looks like an on/off switch. But I don't mind that. It oscillates very nicely. I would not shrink from to keep this in an office. The rotating angle of the fan head is good. I am only disappointed that it does not move an impressive amount of air. I done in the same on a Honeywell that is a bit bigger and not quite as hip looking that moves MUCH more air. I like this Vornado I only wish its performance was as effectual as billed, and as expected of the touted Vornado brand.

Entire purchase for the cost.
I bought this for my workshop extent to replace a quite old pedestal 12" fan that worked well for years and finally died. With the reviews and Vornados
own printed matter I found this to be a fairly equivalent fan, but with a smaller footprint.
I cannot say I was wrong in the decision, but now I also cannot fully agree with it. The 'power' from it is noticeably lacking, but perhaps I compared unfairly.
What it falls diminutive in it makes up for in size. For that I am grateful to it and have accepted it as a great performer for the cost and size.
Prepare: This was purchased through Amazon, but for whatever reason the box for 'verified purchase' is not allowing me to check it.

The Most talented fan~!
Living in a domicile without A/C, this is a godsend fan. Very effective, and I tilt it a bit (put a book under the back legs)to get the best air flow at night. Wonderful fan. Unswerving & easy to clean. Two thumbs up!

Vornado negligible Panel fan

Subtle little fan
I'm fair happy with this little fan so far. I've got one of those houses which was never intended to be inhabited without air conditioning - windows which don't open all the way, extinct end hallways with no vent for hot air, and so forth. Surviving summer without AC in this architectural disaster requires a navy of strategically placed fans. The only functional windows in my living room are a pair of chagrined decorative lights on either side of a picture window. This fan, at approximately 10 x 10 x 6 inches ardent, is one of the few fans on the market which will actually fit into the tiny opening of my living room windows. Without considering its diminutive size, this little fan manages to air out my entire living room when I come conversant with after work and turn it on. Unlike a lot of vortex style fans, this one seems to pull air from the back and not just the sides, so it brings in exterior air when it's sitting on a window sill.

Works almost too well!
My proprietor keeps the heat on until May--completely unnecessary in my part of the world. So I need something to keep my apartment tolerably likeable until then. I chose this fan for the reasonable price and small footprint. I was afraid it would be too small to be effective in my kind (20x15) living room, but figured I'd give it a shot. Boy, am I glad I did. 10 minutes on low sprint was enough to make my living room almost a bit too chilly! I had to turn it off. So not only is it an efficient cooler, it's energy effective, because you won't have to run it all the time. It's not silent, but it's quiet enough that my cat will sit next to it. I'll be buying another for my bedroom.
