DescriptionLeave out annoying hot and cold cycles. Vornado's DVH digital control generates just the right amount of impetuosity…maintaining comfort automatically. Vornado Vortex circulation gently and safely warms an unalloyed room. Full function controls, cool touch exterior, automatic tip-over and over-heat buffer. Vornado...The most trusted brand in comfort for over 50 years.Conflict the agony of leaving a hot shower for the chilly household air with a blast of warmth from this heater. From dynamism leader, Vornado, the fan heater oscillates to spread heat through out the room in no time at all. Best worn as an enhancement to a heating system, separate use of the fan heater also provides comfort in the fall and spring months during audacious mornings and evenings. Small rooms, up to 12 by 12 feet in size, aid most from the application of the quiet fan heater. The electronic heater features a convex grill form to allow air to flow most ably. The fan's grill and cabinet stay cool as heat emits from the sheltered non-glowing heat element. With three power settings for varying needs, the fan heater runs at 1500 watts and 800 watts. The fan can also run with no fury to circulate air in hotter weather. Equipped with automatic comfort control technology, users submit an ideal temperature and the heating appliance automatically adjusts the output to obtain and testify this level. To ensure safety, the heater cuts power upon tipping over, or if the heater should overheat. For conservative operation, read the manufacturer guidelines and instructions thoroughly prior to use. The USA-made heater is submerged under a limited one-year warranty. This unit weighs 5 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling Customer ReviewsAt home deadAfter doing tons of scrutinization and dismissing the competitors on grounds of heating cords and melting bodies, I picked this Vornado. From reading the reviews here I knew it was a punt. Well, here you go, I lost. The unit came brand new, unopened and dead. There were no signs of physical wound or such. The LCD screen was working, but the unit never moved a bit of air. Returned it and don't plan on getting a new one, too much hassle. most excellently electric heater on the market I have had many energized heater, including Vornado. This model is the smartest and most efficent of all!Vornado EH1-0028-06 DVH Digital Vortex Oil-burning stove Didn't m as expected I was a scant disappointed in this product, after seeing all of the rave reviews that it got. What we have is a brick house that is a little sneezles in the winter. I wanted something to help heat the living room, so we didn't have to fire the furnace unceasingly. The living room is about 15x20 with one end open to the stairs and dining room. I think this is the problem. This oil-burning stove didn't put out enough heat to even create a noticable difference in this room. Should it have? I don't know. In all fairness we tried several special types of heaters (ceramic and convection) and they didn't do the job either. Even an Edenpure heater did nothing. But I was hoping that with the reviews that this oil-burning stove got, that it would have been the one to work. It wasn't. Maybe it would work much better in a smaller room that didn't have big openings like the living dwelling does. Don't know because I returned the product. Dazzling Little Heater! This oil-burning stove really IS amazing! It's used to heat a pretty good sized common zone. And you really KNOW this bugga is not only heating the room, but the hallways, galley kitchen tract and all this in a 3 bdrm/2 bath place! You really KNOW it's working when you open any closed entrance to enter adjoining room and you see how COLD it is in there! When i first experienced this I was shocked to see how it was actually heating the whole area. And we don't run this high (around 72 max) for this to be the case. It makes life tolerable in the cold period. And this is saying a whole lot as we're spoiled from the Tropics and anything below 60 degrees makes me run for the sweater! Amazed? You bet. scrap Set to max awaken and blew out mild warm air...I was able to keep my hand in front of heater for 3-5 minutes without once compassion I had to move my hand because it was to hot....piece of crap for the money. I was told maybe it was defective and requested a refund in place of of an exchange. |
Vornado HU1-0022-06 Ultrasonic Humidifier [Kitchen]

Description1250 sq ft Room Rate/ Cool or Warm Mist/ Digital LCD ScreenCustomer Reviewsfails to drudgeryThis humidified well for 1 year and then would not use on. It is fairly noisy but humidifies well. The weekly cleaning is a pain in the neck. The black secret makes cleaning even more difficult. My unit would not turn on after 1 year. The company exchanged the section for a new (maybe refurbished) at no charge although I had to pack up the unit and take it to UPS. The new unit worked for 1 week and now does not employ block on. In sum, noisy and not reliable. Works well until it leaks all over your defeat We've tried a few divergent humidifiers and found that most of them break quickly, are loud, or have some other problem. This Vornado unit at first seemed perfect. It was quiet, did a full job of humidifying a large area and had a good filter that prevented mineral dust from edifice up in the room. However, after about a month it would randomly start leaking all of its water out. Vornado replaced that unit under guarantee with a new unit and the same thing started happening after a month or two. I am an damned unhappy customer I bought this upshot direct from Vornado, not via Amazon, but am appalled enough at its poor quality -- it could damage a home greatly in overindulgence of its cost -- that I am moved to post here text from the letter I just sent to the fabricator. "I have owned four humidifiers in the past decade -- an old hand-me-down Samsung ultrasonic, an evaporative Honeywell, a pocket-sized one-room Holmes, and this one. The Honeywell and the Holmes cost about forty dollars apiece. The Vornado, which I hoped would be my last buying of such an appliance for many years, was about five times the price. It has also been more than five times the trouble. After slightly over a year of use it has begun to malfunction such that I cannot take up to use it... Shortly after buying the unit I noted in a follow-up e-mail to you that ...nothing on the website made it cleanly that I would have to buy one or two mineral cartridges per season, at about twice the price of disposable water filters typically occupied in other units... I have continued to struggle with the wretched thing hoping to get my $200+ worth out of it. It is more dangerous to handle (and I speak as someone who is stronger than average, especially in the hands), more trouble to maintain and more dormant hazard to my home than any appliance I have ever owned. The tank design is such that I wonder how a person much weaker than I am can orchestrate it at all. The cleaning with vinegar AND bleach, which I have faithfully done every week to ten days, has not prevented a couple of occasions when some microorganism positively took hold inside the hard-to-see, hard-to-clean guts of the unit, giving me sinus concern. (Never happened with any "cheap" humidifier.) Now, twice in the last two weeks, the unit has leaked onto the rug where it's normally situated in my bedroom -- fortunately a washable one. By seeping, I mean all but emptied out. The first time, it ran over to the floorboards and began to drip through my ceiling downstairs. If I had not been in the flat involved at the time I would have probably had damage requiring a repairman. I inferred that the unit hadn't been seated well, emptied it, cleaned it for good measure and put it back in use. About six fills later, it overflowed again today. I could find nothing dishonour with the way the tank was seated on the unit. I have gotten out the old two-quart Holmes which I (thank you, Fortune) had not yet inclined away as was my intention. I will be using it from now on. I cannot risk having this happen again. ...It is also far louder than I would have expected, and the on-off cycling when it is set for a ineluctable humidity is annoying enough to keep me awake -- I simply have to set it for continuous run even if that means waking up to 70% humidity. I paid $200 extra shipping for this and it would be charitable to say that I retire it, now, having wasted $160 of that price, to say nothing of the nuisance it has been or the gamble of damaging my home well in excess of the unit's cost." Distributes moisture well; Preferred over AOS I had an AOS7135, AOS7142 and this Vornado Ultrasonic humidifier. I found that the Vornado distributes the moisture A LOT sport than the AOS ones. The output was also much closer to the rated 3.5 gal/day (I got 3.4 when in continuous mode) than were the AOS humidifiers. Decent make sure to put it on a firm surface instead of directly on the carpet, otherwise the output will be cut. While I was happy with the unit I decided to return it due to worries about inhaling the white dust which appeared within a few weeks. I tried distilled hose and that worked well but it is a big hassle to purchase many jugs each week. I have since switched to the Vornado evaporative humidifier. If you are not bothered by the hoary dust, or have distilled or reverse-osmosis water then this is a great humidifier. I prefer it over the Air-O-Swiss units as it distributes the moisture very well due to the fan, gain one does not need to elevate it by 3 feet. Significant Humidifier I real in Chicago where the winters get very cold and very dry. I finally decided to do something about it a year ago and bought a humidifier. I went through a series of 5 humidifiers before I eventually came across the Vornado Ultrasonic, which has been the best by far. I started with a cheap Holmes humidifier that basically boils ditch-water and creates steam. The problem is that the heating element gets caked with residue and requests to be cleaned just about every other day and it's very difficult to clean. It also tends to give off a rather bad odor. After returning the holmes, I purchased a Vornado evaporative humidifier. What I've found is that evaporative humidifiers absolutely don't create enough moisture. The first Vornado was a bust. My next attempt was a Sharper Image Ultrasonic humidifier, which is very unassuming to use, easy to clean and provides a good deal of moisture. Unfortunately, much of the moisture fully falls to the ground right around the machine. I wasn't 100% sold. I returned the Sharper Copy unit to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and found two typically expensive ultrasonic humidifiers on sale for half off. One was the Air-O-Swiss Ultrasonic Humidifier http://www.amazon.com/Air-O-Swiss-32838-Ultrasonic-Humidifier/dp/B000J4I4RI/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=snug harbor a comfortable-garden&qid=1262363031&sr=1-7 The other was the Vornado. I decided to get them both with the intention of returning the one that I did not like as much. The Air-O-Swiss is a very suave looking machine with lots of controls and settings. At the top, it has a plastic piece which lets you lever the direction the moisture flows (it can go two directions at once). I found that it had the same problem as the Sharper Image element, but I placed it on a 2' plant stand, directed the moisture to either side and that seemed to keep the moisture from settling on the level. The Vornado Unit's settings were slightly more complicated for me to figure out, but we're talking the difference between 2 minutes and 5 minutes here. The Vornado uses a fan to prod the moisture further up so that it evaporates in the air BEFORE it hits the ground. PERFECT! I don't have to put it on a stand or worry that I'll find water seaping into my hardwood floors. Where the Air-O-Swiss is wonderful quiet, the Vornado has a fan (that pushes the moisture up) and thus makes a bit more noise. I personally don't find the noise distracting at all and neither does my missus. Noise aside, it is the fan that really makes this the perfect humidifier because this is the ONLY humidifier of the many I tested that absolutely seems to get more moisture into the air than on the ground. I wound up getting two Vornado Ultrasonic Humidifiers for my 1800 square foot condo and have noticed a rich improvement. I highly recommend this product. One last thing... both the Vornado and the Air-O-Swiss have filters, which is outgoing because you want to be filling your home with clean moisture. |
Vornado V6 Flippi Personal Circulator

DescriptionOscillates and Flips/ Elevated-Gloss Finish/ Powerful Electric MotorCustomer ReviewsIt's soreness to useAs other's have mentioned, it's noisy. It's a desk fan, it's on my desk, near my ears, and it creates a lot of noise in my otherwise quiet office. But that's not the authentic downside. It's the controls. They SUCK. There is a little wheel thing near the base that you use to go off on and off and change the level. It's impossible to use with one hand, so you have to *pick the fan up* in order to turn it on/off/up/down. Harsh on highspeed At vespers all the time my wife uses this pretty little fan. On the low setting it is fairly quiet, but on the high home the sound is enough to keep me awake. I have the fan sitting on a thick resilient foam pad and that does help, but the highspeed milieu is usless. bring to perfection bedside fan I've tried a lot of modest fans for my small bedside table and this one is the best. It has a very small footprint - a bit bigger than a ample coffee mug. It is very easy to swivel side to side and up and down. On the low setting, it does not feel like a strong be made to the face - just enough breeze to cool me off at night. And it's so quiet, you can't hear it from more than a couple feet somewhere else (i.e., doesn't wake sleeping spouse.) One person commented about the control dial being troubling to manage: it isn't if you wrap your hand around the base and then use your thumb to push the dial back and forth. This is the fan you be for those night-time hot flashes, ladies! And it's nice looking too. Not that authoritative When I be familiar with the advertisement for this product, I thought it would be perfect to cool my laptop, as I use it for long hours as a desktop. Well, the fixation has to stay very close to help cool it. It is not as powerful as I thought it would be. I would recommend people try other products before buying this one. Moreover, when I spin it off I realize it is not that quiet. Works as meant I don't agree the reviewers complaining about the lack of power. It's a 'personal fan' and I wouldn't want to sit in a wind hole that makes my eyes water and all my papers fly away, which speed two would if it were any more powerful. I keep it about two feet from me on the escritoire. Speed one gives me a gentle breeze with almost no noise and speed two makes my hair wave a little and it's still quiet enough to be drowned out by the sound of the A/C. As for the switch I don't find it difficult and can flip it with one hand. I unprotected the fan first, hold down the fan by putting a finger between the base and the fan and use my thumb to switch it on and off. The fan pivots left and privilege, which is nice, so you can adjust the direction without having to slide the entire fan around. It's stylish, finger-OK, and I got two for one on woot, so I'm very happy with the purchase. |
Vornado V6 Flippi Personal Fan, Small, Midnight Blue
Details
DescriptionV6 Flippi In person Fan Small Midnight BlueCustomer ReviewsDulcet goodI'm in seventh heaven with this fan for the most part. It's small, quiet (on low), and reasonably powerful considering its size. It also looks nice (for a fan). I only have a few complaints: - Turning off/on is improperly designed, as many others have mentioned. This is much more annoying than you might consider. - The switch goes Off, High, Low - so to turn it on Low, which is what I mainly want, I have to go past High first. Considering it's a pain to turn off/on in the first place, this makes that first bullet allude to even more annoying. - It needs a "Medium" setting. Low is usually good for me, but sometimes I want more, and High is much louder and moves much more air than Low. If it had a Atmosphere setting, that would be really nice. not as intense as I hoped It's a feel put down fan. Cute design. It has to be close by for you to notice it. If you need real air movement go higher. Escritoire Fan this peewee fan is good as a desk fan, but nothing more than that. It is nice looking. Suits its good Like others have said, it's a unadulterated looking little fan albeit a bit pricey for what it is. The low speed is great, and the high speed is significantly louder while not pushing that much more air. I've been using it for a few months now and it only ever sees the low rush setting, but it's decent enough to keep me cool in my office where it's often 79F or so. Legendary Fan I had looked for a undersized quiet fan for a long time since my venerable Braun burned out. This one is a great replacement. The low scurry provides adequate air movement while being virtually silent. This is a nice feature, as I use it at night while I take to keep my head cool. The high speed provides significant air flow for such a small element, and is fairly quiet at the high speed. It can be pointed it about any angle you could want. The only reasons I did not give it 5 stars is that I desire it had a "middle" speed as there are times when low is too low and high too high. The only other detraction is the on / off switch and speed alignment dial is difficult to use, especially if you have big hands as I do. It's a case of style over function. That aside, it is a brilliant fan, small but moves plenty of air for stealth operation, well made, and fairly priced. I might even buy one or two more in case anything happens to this one. Buy it, you won't be dejected. |
Vornado Innova Compact Fan/Air Circulator, 3 Speed, 732B
Details
DescriptionThe Vornado 732B Air Circulator combines an compliant height feature and the Signature Vornado Vortex Circulation to powerfully provide quality air transmission and the best comfort. In addition to being one of Vornado's most powerful circulators. Direct air where you need it with the fully flexible head. The 3-speed control is conveniently located on the back of the head of the air circulator. Rejuvenate the air and opulence of any room in the home or office with the 732B Air Circulator. You will ... feel the difference.Customer ReviewsSpacious Fan!I replaced a cheaply fan from Wal-Mart with this fan. The walmart fan uses the same amount of energy as this fan, but does not move air like the Vornado. This would be my 4th Vornado. Importance every penny My Innova (Nanam) CR1-0055-06 came today and I am in affection. It is sitting beside the TV and distributing cool air all over the room. I turned the air conditioning down to 79 degrees and it is faultless. It is 97 degrees outside and very humid here in Plano Texas yet my living room feels like San Diego in June. ( valid moved). Whats more it is so quiet you would never know it was on if it wasn't for that delicious breeze. It may be a little more dear than other name brands but this is one product where you get what you pay for. This little baby is going to save us a lot of money. I think I may get one for the garage. Incredibly resilient for such a small item. This puppy moves air as well as a big 3 foot bear up fan, but makes a lot less noise. It is particularily quiet on the low setting while being more than good enough to cool an overheating computer or make known air in a small bedroom. The highest setting is enough to clear smoke or dust from a large living extent all by itself. I've left it running for 24 hours with no ill effect, even though the manual recommends otherwise. Very light and the tube unseemly makes it easy to grab. Cord is sturdy. As already stated its difficult to clean because it doesnt like to be pulled not including. I found a small air compressor with blast nozzle works great. Only downside is its price tag, but if you are bothered by of cheap fans making lots of noise and moving little air, this bad boy is just what you extremity. Apart from fan with strong air current First off, this Vornado is the same measure assess and essentially the same as the 733B or 783B. The difference is how high off the ground it sits. One additional promote this one has over 733B is that there are slightly more angles you can point at but this is minor given how you use this air circulator. This Vornado is a large square footage fan (air circulator as Vornado likes to call it). The best way to use this is to draw cool air in or out of the room by creating a vacuum attached a window or door. Also, it evenly cools the room by keeping a small breeze which makes it in a jiffy feel a few degrees lower than still air. This can be run near air conditioners or heaters to more evenly distribute the hot/unreservedly air so people don't need to sit right by the heater or AC to feel the effects. If you'll notice, this fan does not have a far stand nor does it swivel. As such, it is not meant to point directly at people. It's purpose to allude to in the general direction for cooling or as an air circulator. Pros: - Moves a lot of air - Very durable - Quiet for appraise/amount of air movement - Pleasing to look at Cons: - No timer - Does not auto-rotate All-embracing: - After using this for several months including summer and winter, I am highly pleased with it and would highly urge it to everyone. For the amount of air it moves, it is very quiet and does the job well. Tight Air Flow, Noisy but Quiet, Best Fan I've ever owned. For me, I need a fan at shades of night for noise rather than emollient cool air. I like a fan to be powerful but not rattly strong where it is basically rumbling itself to pieces. This fan is the kindest fan I've ever owned. ++++ 1. Sturdy plastic, mixed with a metal foundation, has been beat up and dropped and hit, and still looks kind new. 2. Noisy enough but not rattly noisy. It creates enough of an air sound to help me sleep at night, but it doesn't upset at all. The only thing that emits from this is a column of air, that which I love. 3. It is surprisingly powerful. It shoots out a compact post of air, instead of a randomness "tree branch" like blow, like most of the others I have tried. 4. Chic. I have no negatives, and I think the money is worth it in this case because it is a fan you can keep a long time that won't have quirks out of the box like some of the flickering warehouse ones ( you know the metal wire kind). All in all, if its comfort or coolness that you scarceness, I think this will more than suffice. So enjoy the air! |
